About the Speakers

Mr. Ronnie IP
Ronnie is Managing Director and Head of Audit for Greater China of DBS Bank (Hong Kong) Limited. He joined DBS Bank (Hong Kong) in June 2004. Ronnie is responsible for the bank’s internal audit function for all business activities in Hong Kong, Mainland China and Taiwan. Ronnie is a seasoned auditor with 30 years of investment, commercial and retail banking experience and diversified product and market exposure in the US and Hong Kong. Prior to joining DBS, he was Director of Internal Audit Greater China and Deputy Head of Asia Pacific Audit for Credit Agricole group. He has also held senior internal audit positions with international financial institutions such as J.P. Morgan, Indosuez W.I. Carr Securities and Banque Indosuez. Ronnie started his auditing career with PricewaterhouseCoopers in 1983. Ronnie obtained an Honours Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Birmingham and a Master of Business Administration from Alliance Manchester Business School in the UK.

Dr. Guolin NIU
Guolin NIU is the Data Scientist of Internal Audit of DBS HK, leading the implementation of data analytics solutions for risk and control areas for Greater China Audit.  Before joining DBS, she had led data analytics projects in different domains including smart city, Internet of Things and financial industries. Guolin holds a PhD degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Hong Kong with research interest in social media data mining, and a MPhil degree from Xi’an Jiaotong University.

Mr. Alex She
Alex She is responsible for developing EY’s FinTech competence across Asia-Pacific. He has advised both incumbents and high-potential startups on FinTech investment due diligence, FinTech regulation and transformation using new technology. Prior to EY, he was the founding member of the Asia Partnership Team at Thomson Reuters leading FinTech, RegTech and data analytics. He has strong operational experience in incubating new FinTech solutions in different countries, such as KYC utilities, market sentiment analysis, robo-advisor and private company assessment.
